Overview

Alarmify is an Android alarm app designed to provide alarms, timers, stopwatch, sleep streaks, widgets, and optional Google Drive backup. This Privacy Policy explains what data Alarmify uses and how it is handled.

Alarmify contains zero advertising networks, tracker libraries, or third-party telemetry scripts (such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics). Your app usage remains completely private.

Information Alarmify handles

Alarmify stores app data on your device, such as alarms, timer presets, timer state, stopwatch state, sleep streak history, app settings, selected sounds, selected backgrounds, and backup preferences.

If you choose custom audio, image, or video files for alarm or timer customization, Alarmify may store references to those files and may include them in your backup when backup is enabled.

Google Drive backup

Google Drive backup is optional. If you sign in with Google and choose to back up your data, Alarmify uses Google APIs to save backup data to your Google Drive account. This data is stored in your own Google account and is used only to provide backup and restore functionality.

Alarmify requests access strictly using the sandboxed drive.appdata scope. This means the app has access only to its own private, hidden application folder within your Google Drive. It has absolutely no ability to read, view, modify, or delete any of your other personal files or folders.

Alarmify may access your Google account email address to show which account is connected for backup and restore. Alarmify does not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Data sharing

Alarmify does not sell your personal data. Alarmify does not share your app data with developer-owned servers. When you use Google Drive backup, data is transmitted to Google Drive under your Google account so the backup feature can work.

Permissions

Alarmify requests standard system permissions strictly necessary to perform its functions:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to show ongoing timer/stopwatch controls, sound active timers, and display sleep reminders.
• Schedule Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Required to fire alarms exactly at your scheduled times instead of being delayed by system battery management.
• Full-Screen Intent (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): Required to display the ringing alarm screen over your lock screen so you can dismiss or snooze it immediately.
• Boot Completion (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Required to automatically re-register your active alarms when your device restarts.

Data deletion

You can delete local Alarmify data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data from Android settings. You can delete Google Drive backup data from the backup screen in Alarmify or from your Google account's connected app data controls.

Security

Alarmify uses Google Sign-In and Google Drive APIs for backup and restore. Data sent to Google services is encrypted in transit by Google. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and Google account.

Children

Alarmify is a general utility app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Alarmify changes. Updates will be posted on this page.

Contact & Feedback

The app's feedback features work transparently by compiling diagnostics locally and opening a standard email draft in your native email client. You have full visibility and control to inspect, edit, or cancel the email draft (including any optional device specifications or attached screenshots) before sending it to us.
