1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Alarmify ("the App"), provided by ClearLabs ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not install or use the App.

2. Description of Application Services

Alarmify is a feature-rich Android utility providing scheduled alarms, custom wake-up challenges (typing tests, math equations, sliding puzzles, QR/barcode scanning, random challenge pools), countdown timers, stopwatch timing, bedtime sanctuary routines, sleep streak tracking, and customizable home screen widgets.

3. User Responsibilities & Battery Optimization Notice

While Alarmify uses Android's exact alarm APIs and foreground services to trigger alarms reliably, proper operation requires cooperation from your device's operating system and settings. As a user, you agree that you are responsible for:

• Setting Alarms Correctly: Verifying scheduled times, AM/PM designations, volume levels, and repeat day settings.
• Granting Necessary System Permissions: Keeping required permissions active (Exact Alarms, Full-Screen Intent, Notifications, Camera for QR challenges).
• Managing Battery Optimization Restrictions: Android operating systems and device manufacturers (such as Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Huawei, Google Pixel) deploy aggressive background battery managers (such as Android Doze Mode, App Standby, or vendor power saving apps) that can kill background processes or delay exact alarms. You are responsible for excluding Alarmify from system battery optimizations within Android Settings to guarantee uninterrupted alarm firing.
• Hardware State: Ensuring your device remains charged, powered on, and that speakers and hardware volume buttons function properly.

4. Wake-Up Challenges & Emergency Safety Net

Alarmify offers optional wake-up challenges designed to assist heavy sleepers in waking up before an alarm can be dismissed:

• User Risk Acknowledgment: You choose, configure, and enable wake-up challenges at your own discretion and risk.
• "Choose Another" Fallback: The App provides a "Choose Another" safety option during ringing alarms to allow switching challenge types or adjusting difficulty if a challenge proves too difficult.
• No Liability for Software Unresponsiveness: In rare instances of third-party hardware freezes, operating system lockups, or unexpected app crashes during an active ringing alarm, challenge screens could become unnavigable. ClearLabs is not liable for any lateness, missed appointments, lost income, or inconvenience resulting from challenge settings or device freezes.

5. Google Authentication & Cloud Sync Terms

Alarmify provides optional Cloud Sync capabilities utilizing Google Sign-In and Firebase Cloud Firestore:

• Account Association: Cloud backups are tied securely to your authenticated Google account credentials. You are responsible for safeguarding your Google login.
• Service Availability: While we strive for uninterrupted Cloud Sync availability, cloud services depend on Google Cloud infrastructure and internet connectivity. We do not guarantee uninterrupted cloud uptime.
• Cloud Data Wiping: You may permanently wipe your cloud backup data at any time via Settings → Profile → Delete Account & Data.

6. Custom Media & User Content

If you select custom audio ringtones, local music files, or background images/videos stored on your device, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to use such content for personal alarm customization. You retain ownership of your personal media files.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, titles, and interests in and to Alarmify—including software code, visual design, icons, logos, branding, graphics, sound assets, and documentation—are the exclusive intellectual property of ClearLabs. You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the App binary without express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ALARMIFY IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALARMS WILL TRIGGER UNDER ALL HARDWARE AND SYSTEM BATTERY CONDITIONS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CLEARLABS OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MISSED ALARMS, MISSED FLIGHTS OR APPOINTMENTS, LOSS OF WORK OR PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR DEVICE MALFUNCTION) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE ALARMIFY.

10. Termination & Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be posted on this website. Your continued use of Alarmify following any updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
